Call for proposals for micro:bit LIVE

Educators, researchers and technology developers can submit proposals to present at micro:bit LIVE 2021

micro:bit LIVE is a conference that showcases the latest innovations and best practice in the micro:bit community. It will be held on 3rd and 4th December 2021. Last year, 750 people attended from all over the world to listen to 43 inspirational and interesting speakers from 16 countries.

Take part

To submit a proposal for 2021, simply complete this short online form. But hurry! The call for proposals closes on 18th October 2021.

We're interested in talks from:

  • educators – why not share your ideas of how to integrate the micro:bit into the curriculum with other teachers?
  • researchers – if your organisation has done some academic research involving using the BBC micro:bit in educational programs, why not pass on what you have found out?
  • technology developers – if you have developed a technical innovation using the micro:bit, we’d love to hear from you.

Top ten MakeCode tips

You can present either a five-minute lightning talk or a 35-minute interactive session.

Here are two talks from micro:bit LIVE 2020 to give you an idea of what you could present:

  • a five-minute lightning talk from US teacher Yolanda Payne about using the micro:bit and micro:bit classroom in teaching and professional development.
  • a longer presentation where Peli and Jacqueline from Microsoft share their top ten MakeCode tips.

We'll let you know by 4th November 2021 if your proposal is successful.
